Check whether a piece of furniture will fit in a room before you buy or move it. Enter the room length and width, the furniture length and width and a clearance margin, and the tool tells you if it fits, which orientation works and how much space is left. Both orientations are considered, so a sofa that is too long one way may still fit rotated. These results are approximations for general information only, not a survey, and you should still measure the room and the delivery path in person.

How to Use the Furniture Fit Checker
Enter the room length and width, the furniture length and width and the clearance you want around the piece, then press Check fit. The tool considers both orientations of the furniture and reports the result, the recommended orientation and the leftover space.
How the check works
The required footprint is the furniture size plus twice the clearance margin on each dimension.
It fits as-is when the required footprint fits the room in the same orientation.
If not, it fits if rotated 90 degrees when swapping length and width makes it fit.
Otherwise it does not fit, and the margins shown are negative.
Tips
Leave more clearance in front of drawers and doors, and remember the room is rarely a perfect rectangle. Measure the doorway and stairwell too, so a piece that fits the room can still reach it.
Features
Checks both orientations of the furniture automatically
Clearance margin applied on all sides
Leftover space and furniture area share in one view
